Under Settings there is a menu item to Flash LED light for notifications.
on previous phones (not Androids) I have always turned it off. Seems to me to be a waste of battery time. On my Incredible 2 the menu has 6 boxes with check marks for various things (missed call, email, etc). I don't seem to be able to uncheck them. Am I stuck with having the LED flash all day?

Could you clarify a bit better where exactly you're looking?

And the battery drain from the LED should be just about negligible. LED might be annoying, but battery drain is nothing from a single flashing LED.

I go to settings, then display, then Notification Flash

Never noticed that before.

I just checked, and all of mine are unchecked. No idea what will happen if I check them, but I'm about to find out.

Seems like they still flashed, but not for very long. This was after also receiving some text messages while doing a test call.

Thats my issue. I can't change them.
thanks for looking

I can't figure out why. I played with a few different settings, but not sure why you wouldn't be able to change them. Probably tied into a different setting that you need to adjust.

Sorry I can't be much help other than that.

I'm having a little odd issue with the LED notification as well... I've got them all turned on, but it will blink for maybe a minute, and then will stop. Usually it was set so that it would blink till I took care of the notification.

I'm experiencing this as well. Is this just how the inc2 works? This is my first HTC, but I doubt it's an HTC thing to have the notification led light turn itself off after a minute or two. I've tried a couple different apps and nothing seems to work perfectly. Does anyone have any app suggestions that do work for controlling the led notification so it blinks until the notification is taken care of?

I'm having the same issue....it flashes for a couple minutes. Its gotta be a mistake.

Yeah lightflow wasn't working right for me either. I emailed HTC on a whim about this and I got a response back to the affect they limit the led notification blinking to five minutes to save battery. So I guess keep trying apps in the market or just live with it ?
