Liberty 1.5 Coming soon

Make a Droid 1 version

Get a droid x dancedroid
That's awesome....I had/still have a Droid 1 since last December and I replaced it with a droid X this December and I don't miss my droid 1 at all. Also I can't wait for the new release.dancedroid

I do miss the physical keyboard that my D1 had, not because texting was any better with it, but because of my gamegripper. Nothing, and i mean NOTHING beat that thing for being able to play the -oid emulators. I still wish they'd make something comparable to the X with a slider, I'm in love with the screen size, but for gaming, that physical keyboard has too many advantages. I'm still torn.

Awesome. I really enjoy Liberty and I'm glad to see it's got a following and will receive updates.

Another team is starting to work on a way to fix Moto's bootloader lock. It's above my head, but they're using something from Linux, kexec, to allow them to use a custom kernel. Liberty + custom kernel = as good as OG Droid.

Just recently switched to liberty and loving it. Can't wait for the new version!

After five years of carrying around a Brickberry and banging my head against the wall with the hybrid OS updates and pre-release testing software and never really seeing much change with anything, I had decided to just deal with the stock ROM and ADW. Something about Liberty appealed to me, and I am glad I took the plunge. My heartfelt congratulations to the team behind this endeavor, and I look forward to seeing what Liberty 1.5 has to offer!

I hope this has the option for the screen to never timeout.

There are options available for this right now. If you download one of the many "build your own toggle widget" apps, you can toggle an option that keeps the screen on. I was a big fan of the app called extended contols, but recently found a free, more powerful alternative called widgetsoid. Very handy.

SwitchPro can also do this.
