line across screen before slide and unlock

I took a picture and set it as a background on my droid. But when I hit my unlock button and look at the screen before i do the slide to unlock i see a white line across my background image but it oges away once I unlock it.

I see the same thing on mine after setting my own picture as wallpaper.

I get that too. It doesn't show in pattern unlock (which is what I use), but when I turned the pattern off it appeared with the default lock screen.

I think this is the seam where the apps line up.

It is not a defect and I do not think it can be removed.
