Liquids Roms:-)

i tried switching to liquid 2.3.5 but there were a few problems that made the rom not useable to me (ie. wifi) while not a huge problem, no word from the developer on the issue after numerous posts on the thread about wifi issues. 3 days without developer support or acknowledgement is a deal breaker

2.3.6 addressed the wifi issue(s). It's in the changelog. I haven't tested it yet to know if it works for me or not.

Wifi definately works however today, I had to reboot as it kept turning on by itself..lol and brightness on auto kinda flakes in and out. But you know I love Liquids roms, and Cm7 , but I flash like a sick park perv, so I'm gonna go try something else for kicks and shix! Lol

i just tried flashing this multiple times and had to sbf twice. i got stuck at the bootlogo and would not let me do anything else both times i tried this.

I think I saw a similar post from you on a thread for a different ROM. Are you having this kind of problem every time you try to flash a ROM?

no, this was the first time in a while i had to sbf. MIUI, Liberty, Apex and CM7 all worked fine without having any problems, im not sure why this one was giving me a problem. Im just goin back to liberty i get great battery life.

Oh. Nvm then. If you followed all the directions and made sure to mount system, wipe everything, and format, then I don't know what to tell you. Anyone else have anything to contribute?

I thought I was the only one who emphasized mounting system haha. Maybe it's superstition, but I've never had an issue ever since I started mounting (that didn't come off right :p)

Same as Abs said, if you followed the steps not sure what else to add. I was able to get it to install on my D2 no problems.

Im an avid mounter as well :icon_wink:

And of course by that I mean that I mount system when I flash anything, I ususally follow it by wiping cache. Not sure where I got the 2nd step from but it works for me so I let it be.

Let it be brother. I was taught a certain way and it never fails me so why mess with it right?

CM74D2 (build-40)

Damn right. If it aint broke dont fix it!

So how is battery life on the latest liquid? i seen two people saying it sucks but i get 14 hours of moderate use on the Stock Rom and i use setcpu to lower the max kernel speed to 300 when the screen is off and DroidWall to prevent Data connection from apps to save battery, i also removed a lot of the system apps i didn't need with titanium backup and froze the running services i didn't need as well

That is right about mid-range for what I get as far as battery life. Days off where I use it more heavily I get about 10hrs of batter life and days where I have work I have gotten up to 17 due to the long breaks in usage.

And I dont use any profiles or anything. Just clock down to 800 using the built in overclocking. I also only run 3 or 4 widgets depending on set up.

Ok so i'm on my Stock Rooted Froyo right now, if i do a back up in Bootstrap recovery and then flash this Rom, can i use the same recovery to back to where i'm at right now?

Yes sir! You will!! Clockwork Mod Recovery use rom manager if you feel you need to.. it will help save backup and wipe data and cache and dalvick..I like manual myself.. but I still use rom manager on occasion.. do not use bootstrap once on 2nd inits..ie.liquid,cm7..have fun and enjoy the awesomeness!!:)

And just to make sure I can just install this over a stock rooted froyo rom(after I SBF) right, or do I need to be on the leaked GB rom? I am on a GB rom currently but kind of forgot the install procedure for a new custom GB rom. Thanks
