Low on Space

I've read that one way to free up a significant amount of phone memory is go to the manage applications menu and clear caches for the apps. I went through all of my apps but only one had any cached info and it was a very small amount. I moved almost every app I could to the SD card and uninstalled a few I didn't use anymore but I'm still left with only 29.6MB of internal storage space. What could be eating all my phones internal memory? It's a D1 and it's not rooted by the way.

I had the same problem until I went to settings / applications and uninstalled Google maps update.

I'm curious if that would help anyone else.

Update. .

Eventhough the cache showed 0MB on phone dialer the data portion above that showed over 20mb. hit clear data and everthing seems fine. Still have my call history and all the contacts. So I really don't know what data I cleared.
