Thanks! I'll give that a try and see if it helps any! the only time I really have wifi is when i'm at home which is about when i'm sleeping lol..... will it still help?
so.... i completely charged it. Unplugged it maybe 5 min ago tops... I've sent a few texts.... And its down to 90% battery. I've changed all my settings except the wifi... i'm just doing that one now
If you can charge your phone at work our in the car try charging your phone before you go to bed, connect wifi, and leave it off the charger all night. If the data network is the problem you shouldn't drop more than maybe 20%. The other thing it will do is show if something is draining too much battery, since the screen won't be on all night.
Good luck! It still sucks, but worst case scenario you're still under warranty.
You can't change how the gmail app syncs without turning off sync altogether in settings. However, the push sync really doesn't take a lot of juice; I don't think it's your problem. If you do want to turn it off go to settings, accounts and sync, select google, and deselect the radio button next to gmail
OK..... So the good news is... I only had to charge it 3 times today!!! I thought it was going to go really good, the morning started out good... but when I went on lunch it was at less than 5% battery

As much as it might be a pain...you may want to try the dreaded Factory Data Reset...although I honestly dont think this is gonna fix your problem. I am leaning to you actually having a defective battery...
My only other suggestion is to double check to see what/all apps are actually using the battery causing the drastic drain...and deleting/uninstalling those apps, and then seeing what your battery life is. If that doesnt work, then do the reset, and if that doesnt work, go to a Verizon store and get them to swap out your battery...
If it does it with all 3 batteries, then you may in fact have a hardware issue with the phone. If the reset doesnt do any good, then i would carry the phone back to Verizon and start the process of getting a replacement....
Well then I guess I will be trying a few more things and then head to verizon in the super near future lol. It didn't start doing this battery thing till recently... It worked just fine for a long time.. Could it still be a hardware issue?
Did you try leaving it on wifi all night, and if so did it help?
I really don't think it's your battery. I'm actually leaning toward a software/kernel issue since you have a ton of apps running. Before you take it back try a factory reset. If that doesn't work take it to verizon and ask for a new phone.
Take it back to the store warranty it out you problem ain't gonna fix even after a reset vzw is gonna suggest a fact reset its not gonna help! There's something wrong with the phone!
