My post is responding to rpdonald saying that the OP should simply vote with his wallet. While going to the BBB might be overkill on top of being useless, there's nothing wrong with him feeling that Moto did its customers wrong by not pushing the update. They out and out lied in saying that the device is incapable of running ICS because of its supposed lack of ram. Again, the BBB may be unnecessary, but it's choice to waste his time that way. No reason for people to come down on him, just offer some constructive criticism. I don't like seeing people act as though he and others expected something unreasonable in terms of updates.

I agree with you that they lied and I don't fault him for being angry. This just seems yo be overkill on a subject that has been battered to death on this forum.

I wish companies like Motorola would have the balls to just come out and say that they just plain aren't going to support certain devices. Maybe go as far as offer some sort of token credit to people that would like to upgrade early to a device that will actually be supported, like the D4.

I think the main issue with Motorola is they are device happy.
