Media Server Entry in Battery Use List

I don't have that program, but I think t covers a various programs that play music and maybe more. I use OS monitor to kill it. Its restarts as its a systems service, but killing it causes it to restart and stops it from doing whatever its doing that consumes so much CPU time. Sometimes it'll happen once a day, sometimes 3-5. I use a program called music 2, meridian, google listen, and of course the default music player is on the phone as well. Maybe there will be some pattern to installed programs, phones or OS versions....

I'm not sure but I think the combination of Kid Mode and the Power Amp music player app . It has a setting to start playing music when I plug in my headphones so it was always running more than just minimum.I deleted it after it deleted all my playlists for the third time and the Media Server has disappeared back into less than 2% usage land and my battery life has gotten better

Well, if thats the case then you have may have a different issue> i don't have either one of those programs installed. And unless your actually using a program that ties into that process, it shouldn't be showing any usage at all.
