I bought a PS3 for the blu ray capability as well as the occassional game. I prefer xbox over playstation any day. When my PS3 dies and can no longer play movies, I'll grab one of these. I'm mostly a PC gamer now so I'm not going to jump on it.

They announced the PS4 and they didn't even have an actual console to show. They had a backstage simulated console showing demos on "development hardware". They announced that it was "coming soon", showed a few demos, and rattled of a long list of specs and features. That was it.

This obviously isn't Android news, but it is the most exciting news announcement today and we just had to share it with you guys. Still waiting on a link to that PS4 news article that I'm sure this site posted. If the news team posted no such article, I feel like this shows bias and this article should be removed. Not to mention the fact that this is not relevant to Android or Verizon, whatsoever.

I'm waiting to see what the ps4 offers.

Xbox One has some nice tech in it, but realistically I don't know if I see myself using it as much as they showed. Talking to the system, waving around gestures, etc. I just wanna turn on my console and play

This is how it is for my son....and the new ps4 is supposed to deliver that...I haven't gamed for ...wow 3 years....maybe I should start again ..I quit when my dad had his stroke and our lives really got busy.....

I had an x box and it just quit working after a year of my son and I playing it. His ps3 was my ps3 and its still going strong...probably just luck of the draw...

But I had a feeling that the new Xbox would be released after ps4 was announced.....so....

Who wants to start guessing on costs and date of availability? These will probably be snatched up and sold on eBay to the highest bidder...

:icon_eek: really ... several people posted in here saying they are waiting for the playstation 4 previews. I even looked on youtube for such previews to find nada. Microsoft went out showing their product with games and the whole nine. Im sure once Sony does the same we will post and have reviews of them both. This isnt a case of bias it is a case of Sony not showing us anything worth posting yet. And I am sure Sony has a reason inb they were probably waiting to see the xbox reveal before doing a show of their own.

I'm waiting to check out the ps4 myself as I have owned the ps3, ps2, and the original psone. Trust me when it gets down to the niddy griddy a good ps4 preview will be posted if I have to post it. But right now we have to be patient.

Is it just me or does anyone else not feel that the ps3 and 360 are dated? As an avid gamer I'm excited for the new consoles, but I think with all the promise and demos they showed with both the 360 and ps3 they only managed to get a few games that reached the consoles' potential.

Also with today's Xbox One keynote, I feel game companies are concentrating too much on one media hub and not enough on the games. Was there even any live game footage today?

The PS4 reveal was terrible. Like I said, all they show is a controller. They are running demos on "development hardware" hidden backstage. The dude introduces the PS4 by saying, "I'd like to show you this..." He bends over and picks up a controller and a couple of people clap. T'was sad. Then they proceded to show videos of game clips with a music soundtrack playing in the background, and talk about features.
