Milestone 3G Network

How can I deny milestone of automatically using 3G connection? I closed GMail, GTalk, etc...and after a while, when I go and check, the apps are open and connected through 3G network. Does anyone knows?

If you want to use EDGE instead of 3G then:

Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Use only 2G networks

If you want to DISABLE mobile connections then:

Download APNdroid, use the APNdroid widget, when it is red networks are off and when it is green networks are on
