Ok I flashed that and I get the famous err a5 code. I forget what i need to do. Can ya help me out please?

is sbf failing the test or is it not switching to sw update mode.

computer says everything went through ok. buit the phone screen says service is required

So you not stuck in bootloader mode you just cant get 3g right. if so skip all that go to settings, privacy and do a factory reset. then when you load up again and see the green android hit back button and activate your phone.

Try booting into bootloader by powering down then power up holding volume up and down at same time then flash 2.3.20 sbf

oh and re- download 2.3.20 from tbh just in case that sbf file is corrupt.

Try flashing the SBF from the link I gave you. See if you still wind up stuck in the bootloader.
