Missed Call for the Motorola Droid

It seems whoever gets to the led first, wins.
I just reversed the test.
sent an sms. led blinks purple.
sent an email. led should be green, but still flashing purple.

maybe color can only be changed if it's not already in a flashing state.
That would definitely bother me.

Is the developer done with this app? I just saw that there was an app (for N1, not Droid) called Trackball Alert Pro.

Trackball Alert Pro allows you to choose your own Flash Color and Rate of your Nexus One Trackball.

You can add alerts manually or from my database of virtually limitless apps

Seems like this is something that Missed Call should be adding in (but adjusted for Droid). It is apparently doable, but Missed Call hasn't been updated for a while.

I backed up this app to my new droid and now I cant get the missed call ring tones to work.it only use the stock droid one for the calls coming in.what am I doing wrong? It didn't do this on my old droid.works fine for the texts.

Well Trackball Alerts Pro does only work for rooted phones. So that would not help solving the LED issue. I'm sorry for that.

The current status of the project can be found right here:
Buzz by Missed Call

I'd like to mention that at the moment Android does not toggle the LED colors. So the first LED notification wins. Toggling is only possible when I would implement some kind of starting and stopping mechanism. (which would suck the battery) In addtion I am only able to prioritize my own notifications. (SMS, Call etc.) So I am not able to stop Email LED notification and set the SMS one. I know that this is not really helpful for a lot of people.

One last thing. Make sure that you all got Missed Call for Android 2.0 installed. (NOT the original Missed Call)

Hey All,

Sorry for the dumb question: Missed Call seems to have missed notifying me of MMS messages (e.g. picture message) - is that not a part of the SMS service? How do I resolve this problem?

Thanks!

I've noticed this issue as well

Sorry for rebumping a question from a few pages ago but I am also having this issue. The MMS notification comes in, Missed Call does my custom SMS vibrate, then the notification disappears from the notification bar (as well as any subsequent repeat notification custom vibration).

Initially it would lose the MMS as well, but once I turned Missed Call off and let one MMS come through via the main messaging application without Missed Call on, the MMS messages are showing up, but now I'm still having the issue where the notification icon doesn't stay in the notification bar until I open it (and in turn not repeating the Missed Call custom vibrate notifications).

Can someone help?

Thanks.

I too love the Missed Call application & would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone with Android!!! My #1 reason for using it is simply to have an LED light appear when I miss a phone call - much like the stock SMS notifications. it's nice to not have to wake the phone up to know if you missed a call or text! :)

Two thumbs up! :)

I know that there are problems with the MMS part. I know that the MMS support is pretty basic and does not really work a lot of times. I am working on it.

I have an issue where Missed Call will pop up with a force close or report menu when I am using handcent. This just started happening a couple weeks ago I think. Not sure if related to android 2.1, a recent handcent version or missed call version. Other than that I really like it.

I installed this app yesterday on my Moto Droid...and not only did it not work at all, but after uninstalling it my LED no longer seems to be working anymore. Does installing it disable some default preference I need to be aware of to get my LED working as it did before I installed this?

I'm looking for setup instructions, did I miss them in this thread? I went to setup for missed calls but didn't see where I could make any changes that I understood.

Thanks,
Abe

Problem with audio notification

The missed call app will often start playing the audio for email notification but even after opening the email or deleting it the audio keeps playing. This has happened several times in the past two weeks. I have had to turn the phone off to get it to reset. The last time it happened (just now) even turning the phone off did not work, I had to turn it off a second time. Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't want to delete the app but having it playing the notification over and over is very frustrating.
