Its possible that this is old news but I've been waiting patiently for this app. Just about as patient as the 2.1 update, but thats been beaten to death enough :)

Has anyone tried MLB At Bat? It has gotten some poor reviews however the regular season is still a few weeks away and I have to assume they will iron out any problems. I will keep you all posted, poor reviews or not I will be purchasing this app as I cannot resist the ability to hear my O's while living no where near any radio broadcast. And the video highlights after the play seems like a great idea. This might sound like a commercial, I am just passionate to a fault about baseball ;p

Lets get this right MLB

*bought app 3-14-10*

Ok I did it, bought the app. Right now listing to the O's Phills game while uploading an album to facebook and posting this. The app is very stable. I think its worth the money, it doesn't give live video like I hear the iphones app does. But you know what your getting into, it gives you what the description states, your getting live audio with video highlights of any game. I like the "field view" you can have on during a game which shows offence defence with base runners, there are also live box scores. I may just be easily ammused but $14 bucks for a season seems reasonable, especially since the only time I get to watch or hear my O's is when they play the Yanks, and that never turns out well :p
Many in the comments complain about audio quality, what most have to realize is that the feed we are getting is from local a.m. radio stations. Also remember droid does :) this is easy to connect to a reciever or plain old computer speakers, sounds great with headphones also if you are the only fan in the room. However I am enjoing my game now as is with a few people, not overpowering, but still easy to hear.
Another complaint I have seen is the delay, we have to remember is that radio stations have a delay as it is and then any internet feed will also have a delay of its own, that's just how it is. So I guess you wierdos that want to listen to the game while at the game should grab a beer and hot dog and enjoy the sun :)
This is my mlb at bat review, like I said I don't think there are any suprises, you get what the description states, and that's good enough for me :)

There is a lengthy thread many of us owners have been commenting on. It seems that witht he two updates they quickly applied it has helped a lot of people with dropping audio.

A lot of us feel the same way man. No need to worry about sounding liek a commercial. I am a Tigers fan so we both suffer the same love/hate relationship with our sub par teams.

Lol ya its tough being an O's fan, especially living in NY. At least I don't root for Boston :p.

I'm glad to see this turned into an O's fan site, also glad to learn there are at least two of us :p

haha another O's fan. maybe this is the year, course don't we keep saying that lol. I may have to check this app out, its hart to catch all the games on tv.

Hard to See...

How the O's are going to beat the Yankees and even Tampa Bay looks better.

Yankees Rule!!!

Amen to it being tough to be an Os fan. It is not easy in PA either!
It's not even easy to be a Pirates fan in PA......

All I know is when the Pirates make playoffs (which may not be in my lifetime), I'll be true fan from the beginning.

Thank god!!

Go Angels!! I was at the 4th of July game last year against the O's... one of the funnest games I went to. O's went up 4-0 early. Vlad got a friggin monster bomb to the visitors bullpen and then the O's right fielder dropped an easy popup that eventually led to the Angels putting a hurtin on the O's. I've always liked them :p

Well, NOW my friends at MLB are just trying to piss me off! I bought MLB.tv this year, and in their feature list they make a big deal of accessing audio (and potentially video) on a number of different mobile platforms. Silly me assuming that with dropping the $120 for the premium MLB.tv they would be willing to let me access features on my phone. I just read the small print on the site and it reads that I CAN access stuff--but with the purchase of the phone app. If I hadn't sprung for the .tv subscription I understand the $15 for the app, but both? Just for the audio? I guess I'll just have to wait for PhoneMyPC to add audio, I'm not dropping the cash for the phone app as well. If any of you are in my boat be warned, no matter what the MLB page makes it look like, you do NOT get the phone app included with your MLB.tv purchase!

I understand you may want to keep your MLB.tv, that you're disappointed that you didn't get what you thought but I just thought I'd let you know that while you are in preseason MLB will refund your 120.00 if you're not happy. I tried it once and decided I preferred MLBExtra Innings on cable. They refunded me right away.

I check the "comments" section of the app daily. It's over run at this point with comments about audio cutting out constantly. My local a.m. radio station doesn't cut out. Nor does any of the other streaming audio I listen to on my droid. Maybe that's a little exagerate, surely my audio has stopped but it doesn't happen often and when it does it's usually for less than 2-3 seconds and connects itself again.

This is unlistenable. It was cutting out over and over again and I had to keep pressing the screen to reconnect. I don't care about the crappy sound quality, I expect that, it's just talking, it's not music so I agree if people are just complaining about quality then that may be an illegit complaint.

The people in this thread and all over the marketplace are discussing the cutting out that occurs and the fact that you have to manually reconnect and do this over and over again in a very short period of time. Some people aren't having this issue but if you look at the "comments" section of the app, it's loaded with this exact complaint and they don't seem to be addressing the issue at all. I will gladly buy this app if and when they fix the cutting out problem. It's well worth $15 if you can listen to game day audio all season long. It's not worth it if it's not stable or not staying connected.

Still waiting.
