MMS and SMS messages

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but, many times, when someone sends me an MMS message that is a .gif, it only shows the first image. It it's in a video format, it will work but even some of the jpg's will show up in my inbox like it is a video (with the play arrow) and when I press it, the image will show for about 1 second then closes. This gets annoying because I never know what is going to happen when I open a message.

never heard of this problem.

the only problem i've ever had, and i use Handcent, is when a friend sent me an MMS and i couldn't download it. it always got stuck on "Downloading" and i left it for a good 5 minutes and nothing. I gave up.
