What this does: It will unlock your phones modem to be used on other networks such as T-Mobile & AT&T

A simplified outline of instructions provided in this post count #98, which states…

Download the 12/15 WIPE .zip
Extract the zip
Open RSD lite 6.0
Point the tool to the .zip folder that you just extracted
Select the .xml file
Click start and let it flash the radio
When the phone boots go to settings>mobile networks>and change the type to GSM/UMTS
At the very bottom it will let you search for networks, click that and select MARITIME 3G
Thats it

The service is very unreliable and will come and go. Also you may want to enable roaming, it may be necessary as well.
