Well finally ... reset the watch again.. finally Android wear asked it required permission to turn on notifications and it works now.. Thanks for y our help

Glad to hear its working better again. I have had a few issues with my watch and had to do 2 factory resets after some of the AW App updates. At least the watch FDR is a lot easier to setup than a phone FDR.

Off topic question.. Do you know how to get back to the screen where you give permissions for apps to use?

In the Android Wear app, under Settings > Block app notifications > are those apps listed as being blocked from the watch?
