There's already been a few leaks of the 3rd gen Moto X including the one we reported here yesterday but this time, it seems that the fingerprint scanner is non existent.

This leak doesn’t exactly share any specs except for the images of the phone. The lack of a fingerprint scanner might bother some of you, presuming this information is accurate of course. What can you expect of Moto X 2015? According to rumors, this device will once again be sporting a metal build. The rumors are also saying that they might even be 2 versions of this device, one with a 5.2" display, and the other one a 5.6" panel. The QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display has also been mentioned, as well as 3GB of RAM. That’s pretty much all the info we've got, though you can also expect the phone to be powered by a Qualcomm SoC.

Any updated intel on battery size? Last we heard was a 3200 Mah battery. That would be sweet.

Of this is the next version... I'm really going to like the 2016 when I can upgrade to it.

If you take a closer look, you will see the gold color one is a total different body/frame (look at the rim around the frame its different than that of the one next to it). So its very possible that is a totally different device like a new version of the moto g or some other phone. Also the one on the right can be a smaller version (for example the moto x vs nexus 6, they both looked similar frame wise and such but moto x was smaller). So the previous leaked pic might be say a nexus 6 replacement like device and the recent leak a smaller version moto x replacement device. The flex cable is still there on both leaks suggesting still a possibility of either a finger print scanner (smaller version of one for the new leaked pic) and/or some sort of moto logo notification light/power button like that of the prototype droid turbo which had the power button on the back where the moto logo was.
