We have the full specs listed below, along with a full unboxing video above. The device is absolutely outstanding in every way.

Here's that spec-list, but be sure to watch the unboxing video above to get a great look at this new superphone. The video even goes into detail on all the extra accessories which will be available for the phone.

Unlike most smartphones, Motorola's Moto X will come in a wide range of different colors, textures and materials. And today in New York City Motorola was showing off a handful of them — from textured black and white plastic, to a range of wood finishes.

The base device comes in black and white, and Motorola's promising 16 customization options for the rear panel.
  • Color options for the front and back (2 colors for the front, 16 for the back)
  • Accent colors for the power key, volume key and camera ring (7 color options)
  • Adding your name or short message on the phone
  • Unique wallpapers
  • Wake-up message

If $199/$299 is the price for the 16GB/32GB phone on-contract, it looks like the price through the Play Store will likely be higher than that.

So basically the same price and specs as the Droid Ultra on Verizon (if the data above is accurate), with smaller screen and on screen buttons. Unless you absolutely love on screen buttons, why would you buy this over the Ultra if you are on Verizon?

If this isn't available on the Play Store for sub $350 it's a failure. Not that it won't sell, but it will not be the cornerstone blockbuster that it aught to be for Motorola.

I read some speculation earlier today that it was going to be like $200 WITH contract...Which would imply $500+ off contract.

Just as well, not I won't be tempted to buy it retail.

Look at the bright side. They may have trouble selling those specs at that price point (eventhough I think it holds its own). Plus, the 32gig being a temporary AT&T exclusive will hurt. So I'm thinking this price drops like a rock in 6 months.

The only reason I could see is if you really want stock Android, which the X is rumored to come with.
