Moto X Specs and Demo Video

I thought this was going to be the phone of all phones.
Same. Was really looking forward to that rumored $299 off contract. Wanted to sell my Note 2 for it and was looking forward to be able to keep some change, But with it being 600 bucks ill have to add in my own funds :(

So basically the same price and specs as the Droid Ultra on Verizon (if the data above is accurate), with smaller screen and on screen buttons. Unless you absolutely love on screen buttons, why would you buy this over the Ultra if you are on Verizon?
I think Moto was trying to target a wider audience with the Moto X. Women can get it in their favorite color or match it to their favorite purse or pair of shoes. Teens can coordinate it with their backpack, sneakers, maybe even their high school/college color.

To me, but Droid phones are pretty manly. Rugged, squared, made from materials like carbon fiber and kevlar, only option is black.

$299 was definitely a good place for a look see ...but no way I'm getting rid of this N2 except for N3 ...

I'm in the same boat, definitely going with a note 3, and the wife will be real happy with my note 2.

The only reason I could see is if you really want stock Android, which the X is rumored to come with.

If it does come with stock Android then I can see it selling to those who must have it. Personally, it doesn't make much difference to me. I had the OG Droid with stock Android and currently have the Inc2. I didn't have a preference for either one. Actually, I like some of the non stock features on the Inc2. I guess we just have to wait a while to see the actual differences between the 2.

NO removable battery, No memory card slot to expand memory...sigh, looks like I have to hang on to my POS nexus a little longer.

Yeah size wise we are spoiled..I'm definitely not going down in size unless someone wants to buy me one and pay the monthly hehe

Imagine how small this thing would seem after using the Note 2? Forgetaboutit!
I'm actually tired of lugging this giant screen around. It was cool in the beginning but now it just annoyingly weights down my pockets.

32gb is more than enough space for me. All I need on my phone is my music, which is only around 10 gb, a 1 or 2 ebooks, and maybe a small game like Candy Crush. I really don't understand why people act like they need hundreds of GB on their phone. To me, that just means you're using your phone wrong or you're a hoarder :)

Because you like something, does not mean everyone should like the same thing, get my drift.

Sure do...and do you get your drift? ;)

I truly wonder just how many people out there screaming about the lack of memory, etc, actually use that? I think Android's ultimate vision is "in the cloud"...have everything accessible without "weighing down" the device. Google's offering all these online services to sync with all your devices: Google Music, Google Drive, etc...the sync capability is there so you don't HAVE to worry about having that data on one device and needing it when you don't have that device available.

I have been using a micro SD card since the HTC Incredible, I like the freedom of being able to carry my high resolution movies and high resolution music wherever I go, and not needing data to access it, like on the subway, or places where data access is just bad, or for people who are limited with their data allotment from their carrier. And the same goes for removable battery, nice to be able to swap out a depleted one with a fresh one in no time, especially if you are not around a charging station, like wall outlet, or PC, for people on the go it's a huge plus, hey but that is just me and millions of others, not saying you should feel the same way, or like what I like.
