Moto Z Force Droid Accessories

I have seen TPU Cases with the Pins Exposed. Can anyone confirm if Mods can fit over the Case or would the TPU have to be taken off. Seems to be Pointless to have them exposed otherwise.
I really don't think the Mods will fit over a case. First the pins would have to be long enough to reach in and bridge the gap created by the thickness of case (unless very thin), and still make a secure electrical contact. If they were that long they then would be at risk of bending and becoming bound up (stuck), in their tiny spring-loaded actuator tubes.

Second, the rare earth magnets used, which secure the Mods are very strong Gauss but only in very close proximity unlike normal magnets. This means their grabbing power is weak except when almost touching. After a very short distance away, even just a few millimeters they offer virtually no pulling power. So the Mods wouldn't be secure enough to remain attached and would be at risk of falling off and breaking when hitting the ground. The only way I could see this working is if the case included either metal suds at the magnet connection points or supplemental magnets in the case at those points to assist in the holding power.

Thanks, That is what I thought but since these cases are supposedly super thin and had the port open I was Curious.

Thank you sir, had a funny moment today when I tried to plug in my Klipsch pro media speakers. Yeah no headphone jack well with out the adapter of course. The speaker does sound really good and is still comfortable to hold. I didn't realize that you can have it charge while on the phone.

Sorry, I'm starting to sound like a broken record here, but did your Force come with the headphone adapter?

I watched unboxings for both and they all seemed to have them, but I didn't find an adapter in the box with my new Z (not the Force).

I did. The guy I got barely spoke English and thought I was talking about connecting it to the computer at first. It was very difficult to hear and understand him. When I corrected him and told him that I was talking about the adapter for headphones, he said that they recommend I buy one.

Where'd you find that info? Wonder if I should contact Best Buy? I suppose they'll just tell me to contact Moto.

Moto Z Droid

Fox you posted the Moto X.

Ah! I was looking for that. That list is huge. Guess I gave up too soon this morning. Finally combed through and found it.

Moto chat suggested I call Best Buy. On the phone with BB now. On hold while she checks to see if it was supposed to come with it.

A guy on the Moto forum verified to me that he bought his at BB and the adapter did come with it.

Well, that was a bit ridiculous, but Best Buy is taking care of me.

She said, in order to fix the issue, I'd have to exchange the entire device and everything that came with it. She suggested I take it to a store, but they could send me a new one and I could keep this one until that one came.

I explained that the nearest store is like an hour and a half away and that's why I ordered it online in the first place. Then, I asked her if they were going to check the serial numbers, if I could just steal the adapter out of the new box and send that phone back untouched. She said they'd verify which one was which, so I couldn't do that.

When I told her that I'd just buy my own instead of dealing with the hassle of setting a new phone up again, she offered to check the price on the adapter and issue me a giftcard. When she couldn't pull up a price on it, she offered me a $20 giftcard to cover the cost of having to buy one.

Take the money and run, baby! I got one with my Force, but I've never used it.
eBay is the only place I see them for sale right now. Don't know about the quality, but you can't beat the price.
USB 3.1 Type-C USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Speakder Microphone Female Adapter For Note7
Unfortunately, it says it's for the the Note 7 so it might be the expolding version. Watch out! Don't put it in your pants pocket with the adapter plugged in....at least not your front pocket.
