Moto Z4 General Discussions

For the love of GOD! fingerprint reader works just great. Several of us have answered this question already. PLEASE, just buy a z4 or not. I think it's an upgrade over the z2. Much better, sicker, full screen, and.... Did I mention... FINGERPRINT SENSOR WORKS JUST FINE!
Oh... Also I noticed that the fingerprint sensor works just fine. [emoji16]

How was the I. Screen fingerprint reader

Fingerprint sensor works great for me. Took a little finesse and a few attempts in the setup but once I finished it had been working reliably with minimal issues.

Yes. It's the newest Moto One, and the first ever Moto One phone to go on sale in the US. The Moto One line is very popular outside the US. But please, this thread is the Moto Z4 General Discussion thread. Please create a new thread to discuss the new Moto One phone so we don't clutter the Z4 General Discussion area. Thanks.

Edit: Here, I created a thread to discuss the Moto One Action here:

Seems like you like moto... So do I. If you've got a z2 you probably have some mods. "Latest and greatest" processor, etc
will be obsolete the minute you buy it. Z4 is a slick little phone. Add Nova Launcher and MacroDroid and you get a phone that's on par with anybody else's... Unless you plan on inputting an equation for solving the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

Spoiler alert... it's 42

Man....it's 42? Dagnabbit. I was so close, my calculation kept displaying 41.88888888888.

Oh....have I mentioned in here that my in-screen fingerprint sensor has worked flawlessly since June when I bought my phone? [emoji16][emoji851]

I was just reading that the fingerprint doesn't work well in low light or in the dark. Have you expierienced that?

I'm not sure how many times Bruben and I have to answer this..... I have had NO problems with my Z4 in-screen fingerprint scanner. None, zero, works good, no issues, no problems, works good for me. I hope that answers the question. [emoji16]

Fingerprint sensor works great. Doesn't matter summer sun or pitch black night.

The ONLY time I have ever had an issue is when my hand is wet but dry off and good to go.

Holy cow! Dude... Don't get one... This phone bites... Worst phone I ever owned. I touch the sensor and Satan appears. Very embarrassing at bar mitzvahs.
JUST DON'T GET ONE!!!

But at least he appears every time I touch the sensor....so, points for consistency
Even in low light [emoji23][emoji23]

Love this phone except for the finger print reader. It doesn't always work with my thumb. I tried to retrain it but it still does the same thing. Other than that, great phone.

That's what I worried about the fingerprint reader being optical. I hear the next generation of them is supposed to be better hopefully Moto makes another mod phone w a better fingerprint reader

Yet when other users (myself included) post that we have no problems with our Z4 in-screen FPS it makes no difference? As with all new tech, there is a learning curve and a few glitches to iron out; but it can also works great if you understand how to use it. In general many users have no issues with the Z4 FPS, we have a whole discussion about it on the Moto forum. But you obviously don't think the Z4 FPS is good, so you should not buy a Z4....you will be disappointed. I love mine, but that's just me. You would not be happy with a Z4. The Z series is done, no more. I'm sure that whatever replaces the Z next year will have an in-screen FPS also. And some people will still complain about it, that is inevitable.

I hope they still come out w phones with battery mods that's one of the best features being able to swap on a battery pack as opposed to carrying a battery brick rectangle
