MOTOROKR™ S305 Bluetooth® Stereo Headphones - $24 today only

Seems we've got two threads going on this now. Oops! Here's the other: ;) http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-accessories/19140-motorokr-s305-just-arrived.html

Anyway - I'm looking for technical advice about the charger for these earphones. Can anyone tell me if it can be used to charge the Droid also (the both have the same micro USB connection)? And vica-versa? It's nice if it gives us a second charger for the phone. I'm more concerned that the OEM phone charger can overcharge the earphones. Is that possible? Or that the included earphone charger is not powerful enough to charge the phone. Dumb questions? Sure - probably. But I've been told there ain't no dumb questions, just dumb answers. ;) TIA for any input! cuskit

Just got both pairs today. ^^^^I would like to know too. Looks like the charger is the same. I think I will just give it a try :)

For the charger, look at the output. The charger on the earphones is 550 mA, the standard droid charger is 1000 mA (I think). Using the earphone charger will work fine on the phone (a little slower charge), but the other way around might be a little risky. Someone else better educated about electronics should know. I think it should work (as long as the voltage output is the same), the higher mA rating should just charge them faster. I'm not positive on any of this, though.

bllarkin,

I had thought the same as you. I've been using my old Razr car charger to charge my (also old) Motorola Bluetooth earpiece for three years with no issues. I just don't leave it plugged in as long. But I was more concerned over this new headset. So - I'm also looking forward to a "tech savvy" approval for this. I'm not sure if the AC unit is any different than the car charger. Okay - I admit it - I don't know the first thing about milliamps or volts, other than being smart enough not to stick my fingers into my electrical panel box! ;) cuskit

Just got my headphones in today, after being told 2 days ago they were out of stock.

Oh well. Better late than never!

(btw, they are still charging so I can't speak for quality of sound, but sure are comfy)

I got a cancellation email today as well with a cancellation confirmation number and everything. then a few hours later I got fedex tracking info. hopefully I get then for free

same, i don't think i was ever charged :)

What program do you guys use to make the skip/pause/play buttons work? The volume works with the app "Music", but the others don't.

They're awesome...except for one thing

I got the email from FedEx sometime yesterday afternoon after waiting 2 weeks, and they arrived earlier today. So, for everyone still waiting, stick it out. They work flawlessly while i stream my music, and after wearing them for 3 hours straight, they seem comfortable enough for a full day's use.

I've run into a problem though and maybe someone can enlighten me. Whenever I attempt to make a call, I only get as far as hearing a single ring through the headset before it goes silent. When receiving a call, I can hear the ringing through the headset, but once I accept the call (using the headset or the phone), it goes silent. Not sure what that's about.

The weird thing is if I press the mute button twice, in either case, it immediately starts to work properly and I can go on to have a convo for as long as I want. Anyone experience something like this?

doggcatcher and astroplayer both work with me for the skip/pause/play buttons

Just paired mine- Sound awesome so far! Listening to Jack Johnson cover Sublime. Phone calls Sound a touch tinny. FF works on Pandora.

Paired mine to my Macbook Pro. A bit odd, they work fine with iTunes and VLC player, but for some reason the audio from the Last.FM app (on my Mac) doesn't go through the headphones. No biggie because I bought them for my phone, but a bit odd.

Got mine today. Just finished charging them and I'm listening right now using tunewiki. They sound pretty dang good for a wireless bluetooth headset. Definitely better than the Apple iPod ear buds I have. Very comfortable. And the play/pause, fw and rev buttons control tunewiki.

Thanks to the original poster for alerting us all to the sale.

glad to see I'm not the only one who's pause play skip tracks button don't work. keep us posted if you figure out to make then work. I've had these for over a week now and was hoping they'd magically work but no luck

Got mine off of ebay for $31 after the Verizon deal **** the bed. These things are pretty damn cool. Sound is good, paired up right away and all of the functions work using the stock player. I'm pretty happy with these. I've never had wire free headphones before - unbelievable technology

The only thing is, I'm not sure about the bar that goes behind the neck. Anyone that has been using these headphones...does this get annoying or do you get used to it?

The bar on the neck doesn't bother me a bit. I've been wearing them for several hours today and they feel and sound great. Very happy with this purchase. Would not have wated to pay normal retail price for them, but for $25 I'm a happy camper.
