I personally hate how the LED Notification light only blinks green. I know there are some apps that can change it to different colors based on what the notification is, but they don't encompass all notifications.
I personally like it when i get a handcent notification, I have mine set to blink red, when its from a default application from the phone.. its red.....

I would like to be able to assign every type of notification a color... that way I have a hint whats its about before I even touch my phone.

Motorola Droid & Cliq Getting Android 2.1, Droid to Get Flash 10

Got this from android central...

Don't worry Droid & Cliq owners, you're not going to be left in the dark. Motorola also announced that they'll be bringing both the Motorola Droid & Motorola Cliq to Android 2.1. Which means we should be able to enjoy all the goodies that made the Nexus One so jaw-droppingly sexy on our Motorola Android phones. We're definitely interested in seeing Motoblur and Android 2.1 interact, but that's a discussion for another day.
But the news doesn't stop there for Droid owners. Not only will they receive Android 2.1 but Motorola has been working on Flash 10.1 integration and has optimized it for the Droid chipset, which means yes, your Droid will soon have official Flash support. On top of that, the Droid should get a second maintenance update in the near future. Score big for Droid.
Since yesterday wasn't such a good day to be a Droid owner, today is shaping up totally different! What do you guys think?

i just checked out the nexus on the google homepage... and its the same exact thing (icons, layout, ect) of the droid... cuz obv there both android phones..... i would never buy an all touch screen phone.. i must have a keyboard therefor droid is much better then the nexus

I agree. The Nexus One does look good, but a physical keyboard is a must. Especially when playing 'What the Doodle'. I don't see how anyone can play that using only a virtual keyboard...

i found this post as well.. very encouraging, but accuracy is questionable as there is no source mentioned.

That's great! If I for one were to display my true emotion about that news, You all would question my sobreity! I love this phone and I love the possibilities that are ahead for us all with this open source os. Just in the short time that I've owned the (Droooiiiiiid) I've had such a great experience with both Google and Motorola that I've already eclipsed any that I had with winmo. In fact just last night I received my replacement battery door (shim included) and am blown away how fast they acted on our issue and had the new one fed exed to my door.

SOo I was just wondering to myself... How will we know when 2.1 is officially avail? Will there be some kinda announcement or will our fones get some kinda notification or something?

Your phone will have a pop-up notification letting you know that 2.1 is available for download. All you do is click ok, and it will download/install for you.

Does the battery door replacement work? I received mine equally fast but the door had the same problems as the one it was replacing.

I thought I was keeping up - what happened the day before yesterday that was bad? What did I miss?

From the AC post, no specifics, could be 2.1 in Jan and a maint update later on, and flash, or not.

It will be what it is. Besides, some of the excitement about 2.1 is winding down for me because I've already ported the apps I like from it. the only thing missing that I'll wait for (no choice :) ) is the OS tweaks itself that the 2.1 core will have.

I hope flash will be something that one can toggle on/off in the browser.

I'm no longer excited about the new apps from 2.1 either for the same reason, but I am excited to run a version of 2.1 that is made specifically for the Droid and it's hardware. I am expecting it to speeds things up quite a bit.

my replacement works great!! I don't see my new battery door coming off ever again. Its very snug now, so good job verizon/motorola.

This forum will be ABSOLUTELY crazy! That's how you'll know :)
...but for real... you'll get an OTA notification on your Droid.
