The previous version, posted just hours ago mentioned that the Droid X has a “720p screen.” That was instantly questioned by just about every techie on the planet and sure enough, the folks at Verizon have updated it. How does “Captures 720p” sound? Better?

I just received my Incredible on the 10th, as of about 30 mins ago today (17th) it's back in FedEx's hands enroute back to Verizon! I was waiting to see something concrete from Verizon on the X. BRING IT ON!!!!! PRE-ORDER!!!!dancedroid

So if I have an upgrade I can still keep it and just wait until the phone comes out? I dont want to pay full price for the phone.

I purchased mine online from Verizon, called them today after seeing this press release and asked how to return mine. She told me to pack it back up in the original boxes, FedEx it back, I'll have to pay a seperate $35.00 restocking fee. When they receive my Incredible, they'll credit my account and my upgrade date will be back to what it was before I got my Incredible so I'll be eligible for the upgrade when they receive my Incredible. Should be just in time for pre order..........i hope! Good luck>

This phone looks awesome. However, I'm still happy with my 7 month old droid. The earliest I would switch, would be for the Droid Pro/2ghz beast, and more likely, I'll probably wait for the the first 4G/LTE droid.

But that's just me.

now does the fact that it has moto blur make it a tad bit harder to root or does it not matter cause i dont wanna get a phone be stuck with the moto blur and miss out on all the cool and amazing roms that are gonna be surfacing

Agree. I just got my droid (switched from att/iPhone after WWDC) and I'm very pleased. I'm within my 30 days, but I'll just stay with what I have for now.

Yes, it has blur, but it's being called "ninja blur" instead of Moto blur, it's an updated version that is far less annoying, and from the reviews, it's actually snappy.

I tried switching my order from the dinc to the X yesterday and it was not available. This will be my first smartphone, so I don't mind waiting, I just need to do it within the 30 day window (now 60 day). I would hate to have the dinc ship to my house and then return it when it could ship to someone else who's been waiting a long time too. Does not make sense...

I feel your pain.
I bought an Incredible on 5/27 and I have to take it back within it's 30 days.
All I have laying around is an oooold Razr. I'm really trying to find a used Droid to hold me over.
I would just cancel the Incredible order all together. Then preorder the X when it's available.
