motorola not unlocking bionic bootloader..

The only Moto phone I'll buy on VZW again is a Moto Nexus phone. Any other VZW Moto phone is not ever going to be unlocked.

Isn't that a cool dream? Moto cdma nexus phone w/JB out of the box? Damn.

I couldn't care less if they unlock it or not.
My phone is working flawlessly and 'official' ICS isn't too far away.

I'm on .232 and I might not even update to the OTA just because my phone is working so well.. I don't know that it would be worth it to FXZ back to 905 just to be 'stock' again.

who needs an OTA? I know for sure I'll never run GB again, and my GB worked good, for GB. Somebody said they didn't want to flash 232 for lack of a "contingency plan" my "contingency plan" is 232 on my SD and HoB on my PC :)

Now this kexec? With people out there burning their brains up as we speak over custom kernels? As soon as a stable 1.1 Ghz mid volt that will run on boot is out there and you don't have to run safestrap to have kexec I'm in.

When I read that it's Verizon that's not allowing Moto to unlock their phones I wonder why do they allow HTC and Samsung phones to be unlocked ? What's so threatening about Moto's phones? Why wouldn't Moto unlock the D2, or the X at this point these phones are at or near the end of their life cycles . You'd think they would at least unlock the older phone's . I really just don;t understand their thinking on this .
And why doesn't Verizon want unlocked phones on their network ? What harm can they do? Is it because then they wouldn't have control of the content on our phones ( bloatware)? Or is it a warranty issue and if it is a warranty issue isn't that covered by the unlocking tool's voiding of your warranty .
Please someone enlighten me .

wasn't the hack based on leaked code though? I though it was never ever ever without a front door or back door tool like moto.

That I don't know. I just assumed they figured it out because, you know, every other s3 on the planet was unlocked. Except for vzw. Vzw is our problem with locked phones. Even moto has an unlock able phone now.... On another carrier. HTC gets away with it on vzw probably cause no one buys their phones anyway. ;)

I really would like to find out where the buildings are that house the workers who do the bionic stuff and figure out who they are then just run up inperson and beg for them to hand over tools to unlock this beast. Also to ask questions like "what is really the story on all this lack-of-unlocking" wouldn't that be cool?

If the Bionic is made by "Motorola Mobility" I know they have big offices in Chicago, IL.
