Motorola Vanquish and Asanti to Drop on Verizon and AT&T

Nevermind jerkwad said the same thing.

He was gonna sell the iPhone on Ebay full retail probably. IPhone 4s with the 5 not to day away will retail at maybe 500 but still the RAZR HD will sell at already 699 off contract plus the 30 bucks paid to upgrade for iPhone so that is still a lost of 350 bucks. Adding tax in there.

exactly - i completely understand what he was trying to do. Unfortunately, he still loses hundreds of bucks AND is still locked into a 2 year contract...makes no sense to me. I would understand paying more to stay off contract, but that's not happening in this case. Verizon has figured this scheme out LONG ago and have found ways to discourage users from taking advantage of the system (which I believe is a big reason that the "off-contract" prices are so damn high).

anyway, back to the topic - this phone seems pretty good on paper - i just have a hard time going to another motorola product after the razr...i won't lie, i'm pretty jealous of the sammy guys having 4,283 roms to choose from lol not to mention there are a lot of nice phones coming out (but that big battery in this phone may be enough to keep me coming back - dammit lol)

I don't understand how I lose money here lol. Buy iPhone for 200 and sell for 400 netting me 200 more then I had originally. This is assuming the maxx hd will only be available AFTER unlimited data gets kicked out, asssuming the tech nerds will pay retail price for the maxx HD anyway to maintain unlimited data :)

so you are just going to make the $200 and go back to your MAXX for another two years? It sounded like you were going to take that $200 and apply it to the new RAZR HD (at full retail). if you just pocket the $200 and keep your MAXX for the next two years, sure that makes sense, but you're gonna lose if you THEN buy the RAZR HD off-contract at full retail - that's all. You couldn't pay me $200 to keep my RAZR for ANOTHER two years LOL

VerizonWireless redirection (misdirection?) again?

Let's take wagers as to whether or not this drops two months ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Verizon so they screw people again by mega-promoting a non-winning solution (i.e. locked boot loader) before they punt the SGS3? Hell, I'll give two-to-one odds. Any takers? :icon_ devil:

see Samsung have this rep that they have not shaken yet and that is with updating their phones. yeah I'll choose Motorola over Samsung unless it is a nexus.

Yea, I would actually rather get the Vanquish than the GS3 (personal preference). I think it would be best for Motorola not to go head to head with the GS3 and try to get customers before the GS3 drops (with as much anticipation as the GS3 has received).
