Music frustration help!

OK, I have an original droid , and have always just dragged and dropped my music files from my iTunes folders into the music folder on the phone. Never had any issues with this, all tracks have worked 100% of the time. I get the 2.2 update and now when I drag and drop music it doesn't show up in the music player, any ideas? It's there because I can access it through Astro and it plays through the music player, but it has no titles, everything is blank. Any help would be appreciated, after several reboots I am about ready to chuck this thing out the window.

have you tried a different music player? i know there are a couple of good free ones out there. mixzing and 3(cubed) to name a couple. and they allow you to select the folder in which to look instead of scanning the whole card for music. it sounds as if yours has stopped scanning the whole card for audio files. i don't know if it's a 2.2 problem or the music app's problem, but it don't sound good.
