My battery life is horrible

My droid 2's battery is horrible. On standby it lasts a few days but when I use it it drops 1% every 2 minutes. What could fix this? Im using circle battery widget for 1% increments. Im running Fission 2.6.1 and had this same problem on liberty 1.5.

Battery life fixed!

FANTASTIC article. I had set a lot of apps to auto-kill, and suddenly was faced with stand-by battery life of under 1 day! I followed your suggestion, got rid of all those auto-kills I had set in Task Manager.

Immediately gained days of stand-by time. Battery no longer drains just sitting there...

Well one way I save my battery power is I go to setting battery manager and select night mode it doesn't matter how many apps I have open or running it really helps.

You should get the extended battery from verizon for $50. Its definitely worth the money. Heavily used my D2 all day yesterday and the battery lasted me till 12 that night.
