I have the exact same problem as OP....I will try different computer since that's what he said worked. If it doesn't work I'll report back.

I will note that Super Manager still does not let me enable Root functions. Everything else appears to work.

LBE Privacy Guard also does not get root priviledges...

If anything can't get root privileges you're not rooted. What does rootchecker say? Or voodoo OTA if you try to backup root?
