I've been wanting to change my folder icons on the home screen from the stock circles to whatever I wish, I've heard Nova launcher allows for this?

Yes - it allows circle, square and platform or a custom background...

Getting tired of the stock circle folders but I love the function of folders on the home screen.

So nice not to have the home screen so cluttered with icons.
