Strongly considering, just not sure how willing I am to totally lose my hard keyboard again (bad memories w/ the Storm).

Hopefully this one will be easy to root (not like the Tmo G2) and have decent battery life.

I could care less about loosing my physical keyboard it's the most under utilized feature of my phone give me a good software keyboard and I'm happy

Man that pone is slick!! This will definitely be my new phone. My question is.....in December I wil l have had my D1 for a year. In the past I have been able to upgrade at the 1 year mark just so as I did it online to recieve online discounts....does that still happen?

Yes. As long as you are the primary line.

Since a lot of reviews are saying that the battery on this isn't the best, couldn't it be mitigated with the new Fast Boot thats in the new HTC Sense? What I'm saying is, when you aren't using the phone, shut it off, when you need the phone again, just turn it on, and since it has Fast Boot, it'll be up an running within seconds. Wouldn't this really help with battery life?

The big external differences appear to be the fact that this future device has a flush mounted camera, kickstand, front camera and the headphone jack is on the top rather than the bottom of the phone. While related - this clearly isn't just the US version of the HTC HD that was launched in Europe.

Ummm this would be great for people who dont receive text messages or phone calls (what a cell phone is for)... all in all i am hoping your statement was filled with sarcasm... but yeah i hope the battery life is good because i love the look of this phone. but def will not be shutting the phone on and off anytime i am not using it lol

And emails. Kind of defeats the purpose of a smartphone.

But fast boot is a value-added feature. Found myself with a battery issue today (hoping a battery pull fixes it) where it was draining ridiculously fast. I'm at the airport with a mobile boarding pass and showing 15-20% battery. Phone died in half an hour on sleep mode, just minutes after boarding the plane. First real "non-user error" issue I've had with my phone.

I can't wait either. I had the droid 1 sense openning day and I only used the keyboard maybe 10 times. I need to go thin and light again. droid to heavy for my scrubs.

Well, I'm not speaking from a business perspective... More of a teenagers perspective. Since I'm a teenager I wasmjust thinking of the possibilities of doing this in school.

It was interesting when you said it...and I was like "man..he may be onto something..."

Id say, from a teen standpoint, yeah why not? If she boots in 10sec and all you wanted to do is check your stuff between classes..hell yeah...

But from my stand point im on par with the other guys view. If I had her off and I missed a call or an important email Id be in trouble. But you are onto something for students!

I think you should def propose this to the student population! It def would have worked for me when I was a student...
