name of apps gone

hey everyone, got a droid x recently, and ran into a problem. put the phone in my pocket, later, randomly played a youtube video, thought nothing of it, exited out (guess kinda like ghost-dial), then when I looked at it again, the 3 icons (dial, the button pulling up all the apps, and contacts) all got moved to the right side of screen, like landscape. also all the names of the apps disappeared and only icon was there. how do i change back to what i had before?? also how would i change these random screen settings in future?

are you using some sort of a launcher? like launcher pro? If your using launcher pro go to preferences> appearance and settings then unclick "hide icon labels"
Just a recommendation, you should try using the lock screen to avoid those unintended actions.

I have to agree, sounds like a Launcher problem, assuming you have one. But blur Launcher doesn't go to landscape on desktop screens. If you were watching a video and didn't back all the way out it could get stuck in a glitch of some sort. Maybe...

solved the problem. it wasn't launcher pro since i don't have that app. might have been just a glitch as chkmate said and it didn't back all the way out. i turned off the phone, tried to turn it on, but didn't. charged it, turned it on, then it was back to normal. not sure what happened but it's now running normally. appreciate all the responses though thanks!
