Nandroid on PC?

Not sure if this is a tech issue exactly, but I don't see any related categories. I'd like to access parts of an old nandroid backup that I've saved to my PC (call history primarily). Can someone tell me if there's a way to open the nandroid so that I can explore it through a file manager? Thanks!

All the goodies are stored in system.tar and data.tar inside the nandroid backup folder. Depending on your OS, you may or may not need a 3rd-party app to extract those archives, but once you've got them open, everything's there for the pickin.

Good luck with the call history, I don't know where that one's stored.

Oops, forgot Windows doesn't push updates automatically... I'm running Vista.
