Navigation dock screen orientation

Ever since I flashed steel droid, anytime I dock into the navigation dock, the phone stays in portrait orientation when in any other app other than the motorola car dock app. I've searched through the stock rom and backups for any kind of moto apk that would relate to this. I thought I had seen a moto screen orientation service on the stock rom, so I'm asking myself is this a part of blur that isn't present in the file system? Can anyone else confirm or deny this bug or service? Maybe an issue with the Deodoxed version of the smartcardock.apk?

I've also found that landscape orientation works as intended while docked in the multimedia dock.

When I was on 3.0 all my user apps while in car dock would stay in portrait mode as well. I couldn't figure it out either. I didn't try any car dock replacements though to see if the same thing happened. I'm guessing if it is fine with a third party dock app, then it's part of the blur package with the car home that's causing what we are experiencing.
