It also depends on if you have a stock stereo or an after market deck. Some after market decks have the auxiliary, and an iPod adapter routed out of the back and into the glove compartment.

Just look for a little jack, the same diameter as the headphone jack on your phone, 3.5 mm is the size.

Then use a cable with 3.5 mm ends on it, to plug your device into the stereo.

My car has a cassette player. I got a cheap cassette adapter that plugs into the headphones on the phone.
When I bought the adapter I got a cheapo from WallyWorld, not knowing if my cars cassette even worked I didn't want to spend much.
