Need for speed or just to slow?

Been using my Droid (moto) for a few months now and it seems to be getting slower and slower.

I tap on the phone, SMS app, and they feel like I have to wait forever until it opens or I can make a call.
They open over 5 or more seconds later.

I already looked at the memory (Data:113m free of 261m) and don't think its to low but I really don't now what low for this device is.

Any direction?

Thanks

Use advanced task killer and enable autokill
Some people will say u don't need a task killer
But I wouldent live without one..

Oc it to 800mhz will also make a huge difffrence
difference.

Enable Auto kill to everything?
Wont that mess up my device?

How do I OC to 800?
I didn't unlock my device so is there a way or app to do this?

Thanks

The SMS/MMS portion of the Droid seems to run a little slow no matter what...I have Advanced Task Manager (not Autokill though) and it works well to save battery life. From the time I hit the icon on the screen its rapid, but then opening up a txt thread takes almost 2 to 3 full seconds....I am hoping that the Update helps with this lag. Snappy is Key when texting right?:motdroidhoriz:

Is there a major difference between the free version and paid other then to support the developers?
I plan on supporting when I figure out which is better for me.

Also a few posts up someone said something about over clocking which app offer this?

Thanks

I've noticed it seems slower lately as well, but I think it's the whole getting used to it thing, TBH. Now I'm overclocked to 1ghz(don't worry, it's already out of warranty after I puked on it), and it flies, it's like greased lightning.

Can I ask what is TBH?
Also how would I or what app overclock's this device?

I remember over clocking my Palm years ago.

Thanks

Hello JW....I have the paid for version of Advanced Task Manager....I am not sure if this is an AutoKill application. I would doubt it....

I have to go in and about 4 to 7 times per day, click on the apps and tasks I DON'T want to have running....It saves a TON of battery life. Sorry, but I don't have the exact details...all I know is that it works when I use it....Otherwise, the apps to run constantly. :motdroidhoriz:

No not everything but u cant kill anything importanat as they are not shown to you in the list. But dont kill things like a weather widget or gmail if u use those i have them set to ignore so they dont even show up on list.

The advanced paid version had autokill the free version only allows killing when u manually do it. its nice mine autokills apps i dont use automatically every hour.
