Can anybody give me some strategy and advice on drifting? I have completed all of the normal race events except these and cannot figure out the drift events.

Also, Im not sure what view you use but I find it infinitely easier to use the behind the car view for drift races. Since when you are sideways the behind the car view is a lot easier to see what is going on. Flick the phone to initiate the drift then find the balance point when going around a turn. Dont turn in too much, and dont turn out too much.
Guess I'll jump in too. Just noticed that it's not listed in my installed apps yesterday. Just noticed this tread today. I also purchased NFS & Tetris for $0.99. Both of which don't show up in the list of "my apps." They both launch and play just fine with no loss of stats within the apps.
I tired to purchase NSF this morning for $4.99 via wifi. Well it took 13 minutes for the purchase approval. Well, I canceled and got a refund before the time was up. Think I'll shoot EA & Google an email too just to let them know that yes there is another person with this issue. For all the good that it'll do.
I do. The apps are still tied to our account. While looking for a new ROM for my VS gTab, I had both NFS and Tetris in my list of apps. I could DL them to my tablet, but because the tablet isn't supported (I think it was a makeshift build.prop fingerprint), I couldn't download the additional data.
If anyone has another device they can check the market, they might also find the games, which would lead me to believe that when EA made the changes, they removed the Droid from its compatibility list.
They're blocking Verizon devices. They are charging more if you're on Verizon than if you're with another carrier. If you're rooted you can download market enabler and make it look like you're on a different carrier and it'll say purchased once again. That's how I got it back.
I'm amazed at this thread and the entire issue of EA basically making it so Verizon people not only would have to pay more, but get screwed out of using an app they already paid for if they get a new phone or ROM on their phone. Luckily restoring my Titanium Backup + Data for NFS Shift worked to restore functionality to the app, but if I wasn't rooted I'd be more pissed.
It's bull like this that makes me not want to pay for apps since apparently I'm punished when I do!
I contacted the android market and was ignored like everyone else. Had NFS shift on my old Motorola Droid and wanted to reinstall the game on my new Droid Charge. What would happen if I simply copied the game files from the old Droid onto a computer and then copied them again onto the new Droid Charge? Would that work? I am not going to pay for this game twice, that is for sure.
Yesterday night I went to the Android Market and Need for Speed was listed as a purchased app. After that I was able to re-download and install it to my new phone. Tested the game and it works fine (runs much smoother on the Droid Charge vs the original Droid). Suggest others try going to the Android Market to see if the problem is resolved as in my case. If so, all of our complaining will have solved the problem.
