need help ASAP

I have to do the cable method, which I really have no idea how to do, so I am probably going to pay an $80 restocking fee to get another razr and just not root these god damned phones anymore.
Good luck x25064, hope you don't have to "reengineer" a charging cable.

FOR ALL USERS WHO ROOT: (x25064, the following recommendation to other users who have root is not intended to make light of your trouble...may be a lesson learned for others...good luck man). NEVER ROOT, PERFORM AN UPDATE, FLASH A ROM, FLASH A BACKUP OR PERFORM A SIMILAR OPERATION ON YOUR PHONE WITH LESS THAN 80% CHARGE ON YOUR PHONE. You may get away with it occasionally, but sooner or later you'll experience a problem.

I had to splice the cable. Luckily I had a factory cable from my D1 so it wasn't as bad as I imagined. Taking off the back of the phone was also very simple. I don't understand why they didn't make it removeable to begin with. The back of the phone removed very simillarly to a HTC, minus the sticky bit.

Anyway, there has to be a better way to fix this issue, either a failsafe in adb or a way to charge the phone without firmware cause this was totally ridiculous. Yeah, it was my fault, but ripping apart a usb cable just to power the damn phone .. really?

Glad things worked out for you. I agree, there has to be a better way.
