Need help with Google Maps

Is there anyway to create a custom route with Google maps on my Droid. I like to take certain routes on a few of my trips and not the route that Google selects. I have tried creating a custom route on my computer with Google maps and then saving it in my maps. I can then bring it up on my Droid under more layers option but the custom route is lost and it brings up the route it wants you to take. Any help would be appreciated.

You can bring up a custom map but Google Maps Navigation will not guide you along your custom route. If you want custom routes you need to find a GPS nav app that offers that feature.

I haven't tried it, but could you create the custom route in gmaps on your computer and chrome-to-phone the directions to your droid? Anyone out there tried something like this?
