I apologize for all the trouble you had, this is why people make disclaimers in their posts when they release ROMs and such. Although if you do decide to re-root your device and try again, be sure to follow instructions to a "T" and just be very careful with what you do.

yea i followed everything perfect. apperently this seems like a common thing on the EPIC rom from what i search

Yeah, from what I've heard and been told it's not very stable and very buggy.. (Not slamming Matt in any way!)

Give GummyJAR a try, very stable, very fast, and the Dev is awesome.
