Need keyboard with left right cursor control

I have not found a way to do left or right cursor control character by cursor on the keyboards on editing. Positioning with my finger usually leaves me in the wrong place and I have to retype more deleted text than I like. Am I missing an easy solution to my fat finger problem?

Yeah, I have the same problem.
Also, can you only backspace to delete characters? Isn't there a "delete" similar to a comp keyboard?

Use the optical stick, it will let you move the cursor one space at a time if you need to.

okay, I think joystick area is so sensitive that it is unuseable for me. We are talking about the area around the camera shutter button, correct?, and not the whole touch screen? Is there a sensitivity adjustment similar to the mouse on a laptop that I could be missing?

Yeah I don't know why it is so touchy, its definitely more aggressive than it was before he froyo update. I only use it when I have to, really.
