i don't think the rom should make any difference (but i don't really know), but i was trying bb1.0 when i tried this, not my normal ese81 root

yeah you cant install it in sprecovery...i changed it to "update.zip" and it aborted.

I was running standard 2.1 rom o/c and it did not work. It may only work with certain roms

im running the dark egde rom and when i install it it just takes away my home and leaves me with only helix

I don't understand ClockWorkMod, I just installed ROM manager but it's all confusing to me. How do I get this ClockWorkMod and what does it do really that I need it more than SPRecovery (besides this)

You can use rom manager to get clockwork to flash clockwork mods and stuff; then go back into rom manager and flash sprecovery.

ugh, sounds difficult to understand. Like certain things need ClockWork and some need SPRecovery?

I was able to get it installed and try it out (yesterday). I wanted to try out the "up to 6 action shortcuts" in the dockbar, but never could figure out how to get more than one on each side. If I could've figured that out I probably would've kept it longer (and would try it again). Besides the occasional FC (it IS still beta afterall), it ran really smooth and seemed like it has great potential.

If you flick up on the app drawer button, it will show you the 6 action shortcuts. It took me a while to figure that one out, but I really like it now.

i'm about to try once i have a sec to install RM and flash clockwork - i'm running standard rooted with adb

i got its working just like installing any third party apk except it copied over my default home idk why that worked
