New tb owners!!!

As for 4G, I'm in the San Fernando Valley within LA, and the 4G coverage has been great. I drove to Marina Del Rey and had 3G most of the way.

I'm wondering what the dock function is supposed to do in the settings menu. Mine does nothing.

I'm trying to decide between the Motorola X and the HTC Thunderbolt. I'm new to smart phones, so either one is going to be a huge change.

My biggest considerations here are a phone with very good reception, fairly intuitive to use, a good {not just decent} camera including video, good & loud sound {mostly for music}, mobile hot-spot capable, and is fairly rugged.

4G capable is certainly enticing but as we do not have 4G in the area and won't for at least a year, it isn't a high priority really.

I compared the X to the TB today at the store. I was impressed with both but here are some pros & cons I noticed:

The TB seemed to process faster, might have been faster on streaming, the camera was definitely faster, and it's a sleeker design. The skin looks nice but seemed cheap/plastic, and I found the touch buttons at the bottom/side are easy to accidentally activate when holding during normal use. I also read a tech review which pointed out the TB doesn't take pictures very well in low light conditions.

The X seemed very close in most regards, the video seemed like it might be sharper, speakers louder, and though not as sleek because of sharper edges, it felt more solid. The buttons are also better located.

I'd like to get some advice from those who have used both the X and now the TB.

Ordered mine online ....says it's already shipped. Opted for the overnight. Phone, extended battery, screen protectors, and car dock....$278 OTD. That's my VZ landline employee discounts applied. Hope to see it tomorrow.

Impressive I can't match that as I paid $284 OTD for only the phone, screen protectors and the soft silicon blue case without the NE2 discount as I've read was $100 off.

mine was 211 dollars out the door but if I was willing to wait I could have ordered it online and got it for 149.99

$199 Tb on verizon site

I went to verizonwireless.com to check on upgrading to a family share plan and was gonna add the TB to my account and the price listed was $199. Is there a reason why it is this price? I do not get any corp. discounts off my phones and my NE2 is not til June. Reasons?

Haha, I'm still debating returning mine. I think I'd rather have a couple of extra standard batteries than one behemoth of a battery sticking out lol. But I do admit 27mah sounds good. I don't understand where people are getting that'll only increase battery life by 3rd hours. Shouldn't you get at least double?

$50 online discount? Not sure though, that's my guess.
