Alright. Ya, I know the password for the gmail account with the phone. Do I need to call someone or something? I just don't want to mess this up and then have to ask my dad for assistance because I don't want him to know that I'm doing this to my phone.

You will only have to call an automated service and press 1 for activation if that. Total anonimity and no one will know what youre doing or why afaik

This link should help you get started with bootstrapper. It is an ABSOLUTE must with root. Also I like titanium back up pro. It will allow you to freeze bloat as opposed to deleting.
