NEW: When Will the ThunderBolt be Available for Purchase?

I'm not too proud to admit that I have no idea how to ROOT a phone. I have read about why people do it, but I'm not sure that I would gain anything by doing it. That and I don't want to mess up my new TB after waiting this long, and spending this kind of money.

On a side note, my birthday is the 14th, and I would like an early birthday present.:icon_ banana::icon_ banana::icon_ banana:

On a side note for comparison for the TB what size battery did the OG Droid come with?

1400 mAh. Same as the Thunderbolt.

Is everyone planning to root their TB right away, or see what it can do out of the box?

are you crazy? if root is available and you have experience why would you not?

Edit: sorry didnt take into consideration that you were new. Rooting was the best thing i ever did with the droid. Opens up alot of possibilities, like i said on my post ahead of this one def worth the time to look into it.

I will most definitely miss some things if i go off and start naming things you can do so i wont try lol

Antonyz is correct I remember when I was shopping for an extra seeing 1400 &1300 both listed as OEM 1390 being max capacity or something like that. My bad. How many mah on a chocolate?

I agree with the announcement tomorrow, but not the release date. Still thinking 10th. And hoping for it as a nice Birthday present!
