Im sure its a system app on that rom. You will have to remove it before you can update

Where can one get the updated version for the Fascinate? I tried looking in the market and the version that is on mine states 1.5.20. Would like to know where I can get the updated version. :)

Use Root Explorer and delete (or rename) the Youtube.apk, reboot
then download and install the new version.

Enjoy

yeah I'm loving the new UI for this. So much better than the last version. I really like the scrollable bar on the top. And I've finally been able to find some Top Gear clips that actually work on my phone (most still do not though :icon_evil: )

Installed this AM and have only used for a little while but it seems to be ok, but it didn't really wow me.

I did this with UD and it worked.
I've tried deleting the YouTube.apk... still doesn't install for me. The only place I could actually find the apk was in /system/app. Shouldn't it be in data/app?

Its an overall improvement but nothing too crazy. I like it though.

If your app is in system, then try renaming your existing application to .bak, then go into data/data and find the youtube entry and rename that to bak. Then you should be good to go to install from the market where it will go to data/app. Confirm it is working, and go back and delete the files you renamed with bak. I just did it this way.

Yeah, still totally didn't work. I think I royally screwed up my phone. Haha... well, the YouTube part of it.

did you reboot after deleting the youtube.apk? If not, try rebooting and then attempt to reinstall from the market.
