You can probably order one today and have it before your Oct 3rd one. UPS completely efffed that one up. I thought my 3 day fedex weekend wait was bad.

You're not kidding. To be fair, Huawei did claim 5-7 days for shipping, but come on. This day & age? Really?

I ordered from Huawei & they shipped UPS vs those who ordered from Google & got delivery from FedEx.

I don't believe that test for a second. I've been working this phone hard all day and I'm now at 30%.
While today probably wasn't a typical day I got the sim at lunch and really started using it.
I've got 65% left with an hour of voice calls and an hour and a half of screen on time.
At this point I'd say it's probably not as good as my NoteII was when new, but every bit as good as the NoteII is now with a 3 yr old battery.

A brand new phone needs time to "adjust" as well. You can't really get the best idea of how battery life will be overall in the first few days.
