Hey all, I'm on vacation and my nephew got locked out of his Nexus 7 tablet. A bunch of the cousins were messing around with the thing and got it locked out by too many pattern attempts. But it's also not connected to Wi-Fi either. I can access his gmail account so we know the email and password are correct, but what use is that when it's not connected to Wi-Fi? I tired enabling Wi-Fi so we could unlock it but if coarse that doesn't work.
So is there any workaround other than a hard reset? My nephew's dad isn't here and I'd hate to just reset the thing even if my nephew doesn't mind downloading all his apps again. His dad, my brother-in-law, may not appreciate me hard resetting the thing if he doesn't understand why. I guess if worse comes to worse and he has to have his tablet working if just to keep his grandparents sane on the trip home (they're driving four hours to get home in a couple of days). Any thoughts?
