No data connection? Verizon down?

I have been having this issue for about 2 days now and it's still happening. I have no data connection until I actually try to use my phone for internet, then magically my 3g connection comes back. I don't get any texts or emails until I check for them manually. It's almost like they are turning off the data until you actually use the phone. It's frustrating, I called them and they said there hasn't been anything wrong with the network in my area, I'm about 50 miles east on NYC.

West Texas, I've been having this issue for about a week now. Non-4g area, but my 3g drops to 1x frequently and will stay until I do a battery pull. Starting to get tired of Verizon.

Here in Detroit, Michigan for the past couple days my 4G has been going in and out and my 3g has been slooowww! I am wondering if they are doing some updating to their tower's bandwidth.

If my phone doesn't get data for a few minutes, I put it down and do something else. It's really not that big of a deal.

Well it's a bigger deal when your home internet is your phone's mobile hotspot and you can't browse the web or watch a video for but a few minutes at a time before having to restart your connection.

I'm having this problem today. Losing data connection and it doesn't come back on its own or via reboot. I'm in SC.

I'm in Sacramento. I've got no data at all. No 4g nor 3g, occasionally 1x will pop up, but then it's gone again......

Same thing here in northwest Connecticut, only way to get it back is to reboot
