No internet media streaming on wifi but DOES on VZ network

Ok, so I got to m.espn.com on my Droid Eris (and on the incredible when I had one and also my friends incredible) on the Verizon 3G network and play video from the site with no problem. Once i'm on ANY wifi network the videos from the site will not work. It just gives me an error saying "cannot play video. Unable to connect to server"

any thoughts?
